Join us for our February MAR Talk with Giselle Clarke-Trenaman as we honor the rich Black History within Canada and explore how it can inspire the future. Through her Black History Matters Program that she brings to classrooms across Canada, Giselle offers a thoughtful, arts-based approach to teaching Black history, and celebrating the lives, contributions, and enduring legacy of Black Canadians both in our country and across the globe. As Giselle quotes from the Hon. Jean Augustine, “Black History is Canadian history,” and as she adds "Now more than ever, it’s crucial that we integrate truth and excellence into our daily lives."
